Welcome to J&M Mondhygiënisten

With over 10 years of experience in oral healthcare and a strong focus on periodontitis, we are here to help you achieve a healthy mouth and a confident smile. Everyone is welcome. We speak both Dutch and English, and no referral from a dentist is needed to make an appointment.

Our practice is located on the first floor of the Health Center. You can easily reach us by stairs or elevator, and the practice is fully wheelchair accessible.

How long does a treatment take?

For your first appointment, we always schedule 45 minutes. We prefer to allow extra time rather than too little. This gives us enough time to get to know each other, assess the condition of your gums, and provide the necessary oral care. Depending on the diagnosis, follow-up treatments will be scheduled for 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

How does the treatment work?

We believe it is important that you feel comfortable during your treatment. In cases of gum inflammation, treatment can sometimes feel uncomfortable. We want to prevent this as much as possible, which is why we work with the latest techniques and follow the Guided Biofilm Therapy protocol. Because the water in our chairs is heated, sensitivity is often reduced.

If you experience any discomfort during the treatment, please let the dental hygienist know right away. If needed, the treatment can be performed under local anesthesia to ensure it is as comfortable as possible.

Is treatment covered by insurance?

Costs may be reimbursed through a supplementary dental insurance plan. Please check with your health insurer to see what applies to you. Dental hygiene treatments for children up to 18 years old are covered by basic health insurance.

Our invoices are processed through Infomedics and are automatically submitted to your insurer. If there is a remaining amount for you to pay, you will receive an invoice for this. Infomedics manages our billing and claims process, allowing us to focus fully on our patients and their oral health.

To submit claims to your health insurer, we require a BSN linkage. Without this linkage, we are unfortunately unable to submit a claim.

How often should I visit the dental hygienist?

This can vary from person to person. During your first appointment, we assess your oral health and make a diagnosis. Based on this diagnosis, combined with your personal preferences, we determine how often treatment is needed.

At what age can I visit a dental hygienist?

There is no minimum age. The earlier a child visits, the better potential issues can be prevented.

What if I am not satisfied with the treatment?

At J&M Mondhygiënisten Woerden, we do our utmost to treat and support you as well as possible. However, it may happen that you are not completely satisfied. We would appreciate hearing from you so we can look for a solution together and continue to improve our care.

Option 1: Discuss your complaint

Do you have a complaint or a comment? We encourage you to discuss this with us first. In many cases, we can work together to find a suitable solution.
